I nvr regret buying the tix without having anyone confirm going at the time of purchase.

I only regret not buying it earlier.

Its a DAMN HIGH concert!!! DAMN COOL!!!~~

Woke up at 10++ to the dancing of my hp above my head. Last nite's DnD lasted until 12.40am. Rolled ard, watched Loki until fall asleep again. Woke up with a headache this time round. Rushed for drums class.

Late for 20 min, they were playing some fill-ins when I walked in. Totally blurred, I gah-brahed until I could get a hang of the rhythm. Played a mini-tune till class ends.

Went Carrefour for batteries. Duracell, 20 for $9.90, China-made. Works fine for me. Lasted my camera for abt 3/4 of the concert, on all the time. I chanced upon some Mood Swing monkeys. Stood there for a while fasinated by them and since Birdy haven arrive... I bought 2 monkeys impulsively.

And hor.. Y THESE PPL SO GUAI ONE!!! We led the running to the front bcos somehow or another, the 3 girls to my right disappeared once the concert started. We stood there for like 5 numbers, crowd growing behind me, until the S.O. motioned for us to go back. EVERYONE WENT BACK LOR. -.-" Then suddenly, the 3 girls on my right became.. 3 GUYS!!??!?!?! They stood there till the end of the show and we cannot ANYHOW RUN OUT LOR! Got lah run once, so paiseh to keep moving in and out.

Ya lor, we bought the most expensive tix to stand thru'out. How to locate us? We were like the only 2 ppl with the blinking signaller light tube thing at A4. I even utilised my drumsticks for the clapping which lasted like 5 min while the band members did their solos lor. How to clap like dat!?!?!?!

Seriously, so many ppl has a car in my company. The ez-link card is not very practical lor. I estimate the cost to be ard $17 per card (stored value $10, card cost $5, printing $2). Might as well give us something more fun, or perhaps a cashcard would be more practical.

N the chocolates with company logos, y give our partners eat our company!??!?!? Weird stuff. RR chomped it all up b4 the dinner started.

Then they had some games where they had ppl running to stage with items they need, or running to find the host to guess the songs names. Had a spin off from Singapore/American Idol also.

Then they had this best costume award thing, which went to a dunno wat dancer and Zorro. I like Presley's plastic hair!!

They had this bunch of balloons hanging near our table for some event. We had to grab a balloon, move from one end of the hall to another, (EVERYONE had to do it!), then form our company logo. Somehow or another, I picked up 2, 1 blue 1 red, n dunno wat to do when forming the logo. Threw away the red one bcos blue is nearer mahh.

WTF!! Readers who dun have their own transport pls take note. Union Cab (The red cab lahh with an LPG tank logo) SBL 5305C (I think is SBL, only rem the back). A trip from JW Extension to Suntec costs $23, and takes 1 hr to reach!! Even mrt oso faster lor.

IF I wasnt rushing for time, and there's no other cabs ard...

I WUN TAKE CABS OTHER THAN COMFORT CABS!!!

All these cab companies nvr teach them how to properly treat passengers issit?

I just emailed a complaint letter, 80% i wun get a response, that's the service lvl of Singapore agencies.

Bullied by Spidys and Xiao Qiangs

I was abt to drag my ass for a bath after much niaming from my mum for hovering ard the fishtank right after I came home. Closed the door, horrors of horrors, the stupid spidy came into my view. If it was a normal small little teenie weenie spidy I wun even bother. This was.. huge. Stupidly freakingly huge. The body's abt the size of a ping pong ball, go imagine how thick the legs r.

Being the "cold" person I am, I din go EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK at the risk of my lungs. I actually even contemplated of ignoring it n do my bathing as fast as possible but it was.. TOO HUGE TO IGNORE!

I turned the knob, trying to escape the little enclosed space with a spider. *Trok* Knob turns, door opens a crack, spider jerks, I retreated 2 steps. Spider moves, squeezing thru the top of the door. I waited, open the door wider, spidy moves back inside the bathroom thru the top. I squeezed myself out.

Then I went... MAAAAMMMIIIIIIII~~~~~~~ BIG BIG SPIDER~~~

Mum came after a while, is really A WHILE, thinking wat her daughter saw tis time. I fixed my eyes at the door all this time, in case the spider ran somewhere else. Mum went into the bathroom without any defensive artillery, swing the door to look behind the door, and came into eye contact with her target.

Being the kampong girl she was, she calmly told my bro to pass her the prong (dunno wat la, looks like the Zeco in MS, for holding the dry clothes bamboo stick one..). 2 sec later, she emerged with prong holding out, spidy crawling at the front of the prong. Out the window it went, with me praying that no one is walking pass downstairs. How wld u like a huge spidy to fall onto ur head??

N now as I'm typing this, I'm turning my head EVERY 3 sec to glance at the cupboard behind me. Reason being....

THERE'S A COCKROACH BEHIND THERE!! FLYING COCKROACH!!

There goes all my plans to do the wrapping of presents for the SPD kids. I had initially laid out all the presents, mix/match/grouped them, and out peeps a cockroach. Within an hour of the spider ordeal.

Cockroach's abt the size of a large pental eraser. Slightly larger I'll say.

DAMN FREAK. IT CAME OUT AGAIN!! Type halfway see black shadow on my table, look up, cockroach.

Ok, I waged a war with the cockroach till 2.25am. Very tiring. At least if its hiding and NOT COMING OUT EVERY 10min (frequency increased) I still ok la. The big black FLYING monster is mischievous enuff to peep his head out every 10 min from its hiding place and do acrobatic stunts on top of my cupboard. Damn it. When it finally flew to the curtains and got trapped in the folds. By that time my back was already killing me. Off lights, climbed into bed, hid under my blankets, shining torchlight on the curtain every few min, like police doing inspection.

Then I saw it. Something black at the top of the curtain. I hesitated climbing outta bed. It then starts moving along the wall. Cannot tahan liao. I jumped outta bed, flicked on the lights and stared at it, trying to see where it went.

It took a tour to near my table, then back along the windows, curtains, n to my paper bag area. I packed my pillows and stuff and prepared to sleep in the living room. My bro walked passed and asked me wat I'm doing outside. Evading flying cockroaches.

After putting his plate of dunno wat in the sink. I showed him where the cockroach was. NO HE NVR HELP ME CATCH!! We visually searched the area and found the cockroach on its way outta window. So we stood there n waited while it make its way slowly out, my bro closing the other window pane.

The moment it went out, my bro slammed the windows shut n went back his room to close his windows in case it flew back in. So end of the ordeal, I had to sleep with my windows fully shut, door closed. Stuffy but at least can sleep in peace.

My mum actually FAILED to catch the cockroach MORE THAN 5 TIMES!

What a nite of un-needed excitement. Resulting in me having to wrap the presents in office AND do my untouched Socius assignment. GRR!

Year 2005, Week 48

I hate work.

I hate the feeling when u return back from a break (1 day only actually!) to see ur documents lined up at ur desk, with scribblings on it. Documents = work. Scribblings = something wrong somewhere.

Grr.. Stress leh.. I haven destress enuff!!

Ok Last Week.

Last Week. Hmm.. I remembered the stupid server malfunctioning on Tues which made me late for an appointment. YA!! N 1 STUPID CAB DRIVER who went all the way to Jurong Port Road before making the turn into AYE when I WAS GOING ORCHARD!! After he passed the turn jus after my office, I thot he'll be turning into Teban there to get to AYE. He din. He passed that, and can still ask me,"Here cannot turn hor?" CAN LOR!! Then I went, "u going where?" "The next U-turn lor"

The next U-Turn, is at JURONG PORT ROAD. Is like.. freakingly far. (Jalan Buroh is a semi expressway so not a lot of places where u can turn.) What can I do? BO BIAN LOR, since there's no other places to turn already. NVM. Cool Cool.

AYE, at those kinda hr (7pm) is kinda packed but not jamming. Plus he's driving at quite good speed (80-90km/hr), makes me cool down a bit, even thou I'll make sure I give him wat the meter shows MINUS $2.50 (He said he'll deduct off. So I minus off from where he shld be charging me). Reaching Buona Vista, he turned off AYE intending to go the.. the.. err.. behind Holland V that road (Yes Yes I'll make an effort to recognise more roads).

Exit AYE, a few turns later, the road getting long and narrow (& DARK!!). He said," AH! Wrong turn." I was damned angry liao lor. He's making me DAMN LATE!! I went,"HAR!?!!"

A very long n narrow n dark n all-i-could-see-was-the-back-of-a-lorry road later, he finally exited into somewhere near where the exact route was and continued speeding (100km/hr++) towards Tanglin Mall. Jammed at Wheelock there for perhaps 5 mins.
He asked,"Do u wan to turn into (somewhere i forgot name again) and turn back out Heeren?"
Me (horrified):"NO NO!! Continue on tis road!"
CD:"Long jam leh, there faster, nearer also."
Me:"No lor, from Heeren I gotta walk quite far, jus continue here, nvm the jam."
Thinking: Wah raoz, wan to drive me jalan again arh. Skali wrong turn again how?"

Turns out, the jam was only until before the ERP, where vehicles were trying to do left or right turns to avoid the ERP. He wun let me alight IN FRONT of Crown Prince so I had to alight at the side of Swensons. Nvm, at least better than trapping me in the car. $14+ for the trip. I would have given him exactly the total amt + ERP - $5 (for jalaning me twice) if I had the exact amt and I wasnt rushing for time.

Had wanted to wake up early Wed for shopping and textbook finding. Nahh, i procrastinated yet again, arriving at Bras Basah only ard 5+. Book fair there, regretted not coming early and having to rush for class at 7 to browse the books there. Apparently it was the last day. Couldnt find my Socius text there too, so I had to sit thru my Socius open-book test with my photostated Fulcher & Scott chap 3, which was quite useless.

Test q1 asked abt sampling. I learnt that in Marketing Research during my poly days. Easy stuff. Q2, Participation Observation. Wrote, repeated and confused with Eileen Barker. Shld be ok since I practically filled up the space given. Q3. WAT THE HELL IS THE QUESTION ABT? Fusion of strategies?? Got method? HUH?? I was like, u wanna best of both quantitative n qualitative u jus have to mix and match and see which one can better support wat ur research is focused on lor. How to determine wat fusion issit called. I buang-ed that question, totally not answering to wat the question is asking for. I dunno wat the question is asking for anyway. 10 marks outta lecture door.

Friday. Went shopping. Really shopped till I dropped. Shopping is destressing. Spending $$ is a fantastic destressor. I bought cargo pants at Samuel & Kevin for my DnD (Cagalli remember). On sale at $29, with the sales assistants very pestering, but not irritatingly so. Birdy made me go up and down the escalator b4 buying her mum's bday present at Marks & Spencer. Not really good Customer Service I'll say, from the fact that they had the sale tag placed at the wrong place n STILL charge the original price. Good CS would have given wat the sale tag had written to the customer who had been misleaded by the price, then proceed to move the tag away. It was $16 off.

Went Sunshine Plaza to collect my GSD calendar. Parklane Fried Wanton Mee (or watever its called) is superb!! Free advertisement here. The mee is nice, the fried wanton is nice, the soup is nice. Jus that it costs $3 for a unsatisfying plate. (Its quite alright la.) Sorry it aint halal.

We walked all the way back to Taka, hopping into shopping malls for aircon breaks. Darn freaky weather.
